
General Fair Information and Regulations1. Check entry forms for due dates. Pre-entry forms are required for Livestock (4-H and open), 4-H Fashion Revue, 4-H projects, and 4-H special events. There will be no pre-entry forms required for open class home economics, agriculture and open class rabbit show. These entries will be taken at times indicated for check-in at the fair.2. Pre-entries in all 4-H indoor exhibits close at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2005. Late entries in all departments will be accepted only if space permits. A $5.00 late fee may be charged at the discretion of the Fairboard. No entries, 4-H or Open will be accepted after class is judged for any reason. 3. All entries must be entered in the name of the person who did the work. 4. It is recommended that all exhibits have the name and address of the exhibitor attached. All exhibits must bear the entry tag/card provided by the fair. 5. All changes or cancellations must be made 24 hours before show time. Entry fees must accompany entries. 6. A new class will be made for livestock or articles of three or more entries where no class exists. Classes may also be combined at the discretion of the Fairboard or superintendent. 7. All exhibits, with the exception of livestock, must remain on exhibit until 2:00 pm Sunday, July 17 unless other authorization in writing has been issued by the Fairboard. 8. The management will use diligence to insure safety of exhibits after arrival and, placement, but in no case, will they be responsible or any loss or damage done to, occasioned by, or arising from any animal or article on exhibit, and exhibitors shall exempt the fair management against all legal or other proceedings in regard thereto. 9. Every animal or article entered for competition shall be under the control of the superintendent in the department in which it is entered. 10. The management reserves the right to exclude from the grounds any person or persons who they deem undesirable, or expel from the grounds any person or persons who shall violate any of these rules. 11. No foul or abusive language. 12. Alcohol is not permitted on the fairgrounds except in designated “beer garden” area during specifically licensed events. Bringing alcoholic beverages onto the fairgrounds or drunk and disorderly behavior will result in expulsion from the fair. 13. Smoking is prohibited in any building and around the barn areas where hay and bedding are present. 14. Thru traffic is forbidden during fair events 15. Public entry is from CR3 only; No public entry from Bogue Street is permitted during the fair. 16. Parking is permitted in designated areas only. Parking in no parking zones may result in police ticket and/or towing at owner’s expense. 17. Any premiums under $5.00 not picked up by 3:00 pm Sunday, July 17 will be donated the 4-H council. 18. The decision of the judges shall be final in all classes. Sportsmanship1. Familiarity with the rules is expected from all exhibitors. Ignorance of a rule is not an excuse for disobedience.2. Exhibitors are expected to demonstrate respect for judges, superintendents, Fair Board members and other fair officials. 3. Cooperation with other competitors is encouraged and expected. Participation in the Park County Fair is a privilege. In case of serious misconduct or flagrant un-sportsman like behavior, any exhibitor may be disqualified from competition. Parents, friends, siblings and visitors demonstrating similar behavior may be asked to leave the fairgrounds. |
